A general guideline for printing ABS on an open-frame 3D printer.
Filament – Dry and dust-free filament.
Bed – recommended PEI powder coated or Glass bed with ABS glue with proper bed leveling.
Perfect the slicer settings (use trial & error method with each machine).
Nozzle temp – Print some temperature towers first for each filament manufacturer. And spot the sweet temperature range accordingly.
Bed temp – between 1000C and 1100C.
Part cooling fan off.
Use Brim or Raft always.
Add an Enclosure – The main purpose is to maintain a warm ambient temperature to let the ABS cool down naturally.
